3 Tips for A Home Wellness Practice

Often times, it’s easier to go to a class at a local studio or stand in front of a trainer than it is to stand on your own and support your own health. But it is possible. (And sometimes necessary - like if you can’t leave the house.)

Here are three tricks I find support my home practice. There are so many more. But let’s start here…

  1. Dedicate Space -

To develop a home wellness practice, you need space! And by space, I mean you should a dedicate time and a place to practicing wellness. Make room in your schedule - if it’s once a week at first, that’s okay. You can work up to a daily practice. And make room in your home. Is there a space that feels especially good to you already? Comforting? Sacred? Can you practice wellness in it.

  2. Cleanse -

What do you need to feel unburdened? Sometimes the wellness practice itself can be unburdening, but is there anything you can do to enter your practice in a lighter, cleaner way? Washing your hands and face, changing into something meaningful - a favorite t-shirt, putting on a mala - smudging the space or diffusing a cleansing oil are all ways you can prepare for your wellness practice.

  3. Just Start -

Commitment to a wellness plan or program isn’t always the first step. Sometimes you need to see the benefits of improving health before you go all in. So just START. As you go, take note of the progress you’re making. This will keep you going. But a secret tip for doing this successfully - make your wellness practice part of your daily routine. It will help!

You can practice wellness at home. And I’m here for you. You can follow along with my videos on Facebook or under Home Practice.
